Welcome to Sarakiniko

The restored 15th century Saracen pirate enclave and Venetian aristocratic county seat has for nearly 40 years been our family holiday home on the scenic and popular island of Paros. It is unique on the island as it is situated in mature, terraced fruit orchards with palm-trees off a Byzantine cobbled road. The west facing balcony offers magnificent views of sea, Antiparos and sunset from the hills above Aghia Irini. The Sarakiniko is surrounded by high stone walls and gardens irrigated by artesian well water gathered in a cistern. Highly private and secluded, perfect for relaxation and contemplation: a perfect environment for simple summer living. Sleeps a family of six to eight comfortably on two floors. The adjacent house, former Venetian kitchen, sleeps four, is available to larger parties but only in conjunction with rental of the villa and at additional cost. Please enquire.
